Via the Tell me what you do function searching for HB EDI Setup you will find this basic EDI setup.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as the EDI Extension is activated you need to setup following fields:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Company GTIN code<br \/>\nYour company EDI identification number. Also known as EAN code.<\/li>\n<li>EDI Company No. (SSCC)<br \/>\nCompany identifier for making use of SSCC labels<\/li>\n<li>EDI Invoicemsg on posting<br \/>\nIndicates whether the system needs to create an EDI Invoice message during posting the sales invoice<\/li>\n<li>EDI Order Archive Per<br \/>\nIndicates for which period new folders will be created archiving imported EDI mesages<\/li>\n<li>E<a tabindex=\"-1\" role=\"button\" draggable=\"false\">DI Shipmentmessage after posting<br \/>\nIndicates whether the system needs to create an EDI shipment message during posting the sales shipment<br \/>\n<\/a><\/li>\n<li>EDI Import GTIN Code Required<br \/>\nIndicates whether item identification is only done based on GTIN codes when importing EDI Orders<\/li>\n<li>EDI Test Modus<br \/>\nSends an additional &#8217;test&#8217; flag in every outgoing EDI message so receiving parties can identify these as non production data.<\/li>\n<li>SSCC Pallet nos.<br \/>\nEnter a no. series for creating SSCC pallets<\/li>\n<li>EDI Envelop nos.<br \/>\nEnter a no. series for all created EDI Envelops (headers)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t<h2>Setup EDI Message Type<\/h2>\n<p>For each message type you like to process a record in the HB EDI Message Type table needs to be setup. Search for HB EDI Message Type via the Tell me what you want to do function.<\/p>\n<p>For each incoming or outgoing message type a record needs to be created with following minimum requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Code<br \/>\nUnique identifier for this message type<\/li>\n<li>Description<br \/>\nShort explanation for this message type<\/li>\n<li>Type<br \/>\nDirection for this message type, Import \/ Export<\/li>\n<li>File Location<br \/>\nUNC path for the exported files or path for importing incoming messages<\/li>\n<li>EDI Document Type<br \/>\nSelect which document type needs to be created (Import) of from which document the message data needs to be exported<\/li>\n<li>Archive File Location<br \/>\nUNC path for archiving imported messages<\/li>\n<li>No. Series<br \/>\nNo serie for creating the EDI message records. With this you are able to identify different message types by the message number.<\/li>\n<li>Error Location<br \/>\nUNC path for putting message files which could not be processed<\/li>\n<li>Status<br \/>\nReleased or Open. To change settings on a message type status needs to be open. To process messages status needs to be released.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t<h2>EDI Profile<\/h2>\n<h3>Customer<\/h3>\n<p>Each customer which wil be using EDI messages to communicate need to be setup with an EDI Profile.<\/p>\n<p>Search for customers using the Tel me what you want to do function (Ctrl + Q) ad click related link. To setup the customers EDI profile go to Related &gt; EDI Settings &gt; EDI Profile.<\/p>\n<p>In here you can indicate which party the customer represents (BY, DP, IV) and you can enter different Name and address information as well as the corresponding GTIN code.<\/p>\n<p>On the customers card SmartTrade EDI tab you can enter additional GTIN numbers and indicate which messages the customer will be using<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Location<\/h3>\n<p>Also location codes involved in the EDI messaging need to be setup with an EDI profile. Find the locations link using the Tell me what you want to do function.<\/p>\n<p>On the Location card click EDI Profile under the Action menu item.<\/p>\n<p>Additional EDI setup for this location code
